Tarragon is excited to announce the start of construction on Merit Apartments, a thoughtfully designed 207-unit community coming to the heart of Sumner in Fall 2026. Just steps from downtown and across from the Gordon Family YMCA, Merit offers a perfect blend of convenience, connection, and modern living.

With high-end finishes, walkable urban-style design, and vibrant amenities—including a clubhouse with coworking space, indoor/outdoor kitchen, pavilion with fire table, fitness center, game areas, and a dog run—Merit is a place residents will be proud to call home.

The “Tilt” is complete on Building 6 at our SeaPORT Logistics Center project in Sumner, WA! During this process, massive wall panels—some weighing 170,000 pounds—were carefully lifted into place by a mobile crane. It’s one of the most exciting stages of construction, as the building’s true scale begins to take shape.

SeaPORT Logistics Center has been over 25 years in the making, and reaching this milestone is a proud moment. Once complete, the park will feature eight buildings totaling over 2.6 million square feet and is designed to meet the growing demand for modern logistics space. Stay tuned for more updates!

Welcome to the Space Jam! The Tarragon Team had a blast at this year’s NAIOP Summer Social golf tournament. We embraced the space theme by suiting up as the Tune Squad from Space Jam and added some fun to the course with our interactive basketball setup. From themed gear to great conversations, we enjoyed connecting with everyone who stopped by our tent. Thanks to NAIOP for putting together such a fun event!

We are the CHAMPIONS!!! The Tarragon kickball team wrapped up another successful season with a big win—taking home first place for the first time! What started as a fun way to get outside and connect has now become a favorite tradition for the Tarragon team. It’s been a great way to build camaraderie, share some laughs, be a “little” competitive, and represent Tarragon in the community. Congratulations, TEAM TARRAGON, on a well-earned championship season!

Exciting news from Tarragon’s Uplands community—our two new parks, “Sky’s the Limit” and “Adventure Alley”, are officially opening! To celebrate, we’re hosting a resident-only grand opening event this weekend just for our Uplands neighbors. We’re so excited to see these vibrant new spaces come to life for our residents—let the fun begin!

Tarragon is excited to welcome three new summer interns to the team! Dylan Greer is studying Real Estate with a minor in Business Administration at the University of Washington and is set to graduate in 2026. Jack Johnson recently graduated from UW with a degree in Real Estate and minors in Data Science and Chemistry. Lucas Moore is a student at Gonzaga University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management with a concentration in Construction Management.

Dylan and Jack, our development interns, will rotate through Tarragon teams across all asset classes to gain a well-rounded understanding of the development process. Lucas, our construction intern, will focus specifically on construction, spending most of his time on-site to learn the day-to-day aspects of construction management.

We’re thrilled to have them on board and can’t wait to see the energy, curiosity, and fresh perspectives they’ll bring to the team over the next ten weeks!

The Tarragon team took part in our 4th annual Habitat for Humanity Build Day last week! It’s an incredibly meaningful way for us to give back to the community while also reinforcing our commitment to teamwork and our core value of stewardship.

We’ve worked in the same community for the past three years, and it’s been very rewarding to see the progress they’ve made over this time, especially knowing that families are now living in homes we helped construct. We’re grateful for our ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity and the opportunity to support their important work.

The Tarragon team delivered lunch to thank the incredible staff of the Orting School District—including teachers, district staff, and bus drivers—for all their hard work this school year. Uplands—our new master-planned community in South Hill—is part of this district, and we’re so grateful for the dedication these individuals bring to their schools and students every day. Thank you for all you do!

With mixed emotions, Tarragon announces the well-earned retirement of Dave Henline, our Senior Director of Construction and true jack of all trades. Since joining the organization in 2006, Dave has been a cornerstone of our construction team, bringing decades of experience, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality in everything he does.

Over the years, Dave’s leadership has helped shape some of our most notable projects, including Glacier Run Apartments, The Main, and Tilden Apartments, among others. Whether managing complex builds or mentoring the next generation of construction leaders, Dave has left a lasting mark on the Tarragon team and the projects we’ve built.

Congratulations, Dave, on an incredible career. We wish you all the best as you begin this next chapter—may it be filled with relaxation, ski trips, and well-deserved “beverages” with family and friends!
